I've been doing numerous shows in Austin with Lay Bac.

shows to date:  9-21 @ baby blue studios, 9-22 @ cherrywood coffeehouse (was shut down by the cops, woo!)

upcoming shows;  9-27 @ the Parlor (north loop), 10-2 @ some disaro event, 10-3 @ ND w/ how i quit crack and Os Ovni (looking forward to this show)

New/Old

I've always been a big new wave/80's synthpop fan, so naturally I draw comparisons to this style with other.

One observation I made while talking to my dad last night was how a lot of the "chillwave" artists sound so similar to the synthpop and new wave of the early 80's, and how I'm essentially listening to the stuff now, that  my dad listened to when he was my age (he caught me humming a howard jones track)
